Eric has been a recurring contributor and, following the untimely death of founder Larry Burkett, a regular guest expert answering listener questions on Crown Financial Ministries' daily national radio program "Money Matters."
From January, 1987 until the station was sold in March of 2004, Eric broadcast a daily two-minute news program, "The Business Report," in the Washington, DC area on WCTN Radio. "The Business Report" was the first Washington area radio broadcast with accurate closing news on October 19, 1987 ("Black Monday").
For nearly eight years and more than four hundred weekly broadcasts, he wrote and hosted a live call-in talk show, "Capitol Investment," also on WCTN. For over a year, he co-hosted a local cable TV news program, "The Laurel Report."
Eric has been quoted in Barron's Online, The Washington Post, The Washington Times and The Washington Business Monthly newspapers.
Eric has made many national radio appearances both as a guest and commentator, on the "Business News Network," "Business Talk Radio Net," "Money Matters," "Money Watch," and "Family News in Focus."

He has performed at numerous Presidential and White House events including two Inaugural Candlelight Dinners (2001 & 2005), two Easter Egg Rolls (2002-3) and the 2011 National Christmas Tree Lighting. Married to the former Elizabeth (Betsy) Mitchell since 1991. They have a son, Ian.
Betsy is often a partner in Eric's speaking as she "stage manages" events. A talented speaker in her own right, she brings clear communication skills, a talent for organization and a theatrical flair to every project. Betsy is Director of Liturgical Arts at Cedar Ridge Community Church in Spencerville, Maryland.
